What does you bloody beauty do?

SFX Makeup & Prosthetic Application

From trauma simulation to ageing, character work and full-body transformation, You Bloody Beauty applies realistic prosthetic makeup for productions, performances, photo shoots and more. Whether it’s a burst artery or a busted nose, it’s going to look real.

Custom Prosthetics Design & Fabrication

You Bloody Beauty hand-sculpts and moulds custom facial and body prosthetics, using high-quality, skin-safe materials like silicone and foam latex. These pieces are built to last through long shoots, live performances, and sweaty dance breaks.

Mould Making & Lifecasting

Need a durable, reusable mould for a recurring character or creature? You Bloody Beauty offers professional mould making, lifecasting, and piece replication services, perfect for SFX teams, indie productions, or creative studios.

Props & Creature FX

Think: severed limbs, alien bits, wearable creatures, stylised gore. You Bloody Beauty designs and builds props and creature effects for film, theatre, haunted attractions, drag, cosplay, and anything that needs a little something... disturbing.

Beauty, Glam & Editorial Looks

Not just blood and guts, You Bloody Beauty also does creative makeup for events, shoots and performers, from high-glam to avant-garde character looks. Because transformation comes in all shades.

Who is You Bloody Beauty?

I’m Alexandra Cox and I am the Artist behind ‘You Bloody Beauty’, a Melbourne‑based special effects, prosthetics & custom fabrication studio.

I’m a Melbourne-based special effects makeup artist with a serious love for all things gory, glam, weird and wonderful. I specialise in SFX, prosthetics, sculpture, mould-making, and custom props for film, TV, theatre, cosplay, events, and just about any project that needs a little extra ew.

This all started years ago when I picked up a brush, went nuts with acrylic paint (yes, on my own skin and no, it did not end well), and realised I was completely obsessed with transforming peoples faces. So I made it official, I completed a Diploma in Specialist Makeup, then levelled up again with an Advanced Prosthetic Makeup course, diving deeper into sculpting, lifecasting, fiberglassing, mould making, and silicone work. Since then, I’ve been making creatures and chaos ever since.

I still love both the glamorous and the gruesome side of things, hence the name, ‘You Bloody Beauty’.
